Not working on new computer

This device was recommended to me by my own pastor and family. It works fine at his house, and he even bought one for our church's phone line. It works there as well. However, it is not working at my residence. It worked just fine on my old computer, but when I bought the E-machines computer; the magic jack lost its magic.

I complained to online support. They agreed to replace the device for free, but I would have to come up with $9.95 shipping & handling costs. I told them I would try them again later, when I had the extra money to pay for shipping.

So, this is my 4th day of having to use my cell phone to talk with landlines. It costs me like hell to do this. Magic Jack has been an inconvenience to me so far.

I have spent $50.00 and will now have to spend an additional $9.95 to get a new one. I had asked for an actual technician to come to the house and fix it, no dice there.

Mona, I'm sure sorry you're having issue here, my suggestion would be to uninstall and then reinstall any accompanying Magic Jack software (believe it's all on the MJ itself) and see if that helps.

In the meantime, although I don't know what your needs are, there are some pretty good unlimited plans at my VoIP finder at this website below, check it out and maybe find a replacement so at least you can get back up and running with a quality VoIP phone service.

I've had a few people say they wish they hadn't gone with a solution that required their computer to be on all the time, and sometimes it doesn’t work on a different PC.
