Using The Internet
Without Phone Line
Non technical Overview
to Save You Money

OK, so here is E-Dude's overview of using the Internet without phone line, some of these options will also allow you to do your own VoIP phone service on the connection if desired.

The great thing about many of these is they're offered by large National ISPs that also will include anti virus, spamware and other protection as well on the Internet you buy from them.

If you want to get started right away Click here for my hand picked DSL, wireless air card, satellite and cable modem internet access quotes Put your address in the box, and see all the options, buy right on line if you like.

Note that most of these are residential or "best effort" Internet without phone line business class options. See my VoIP ADSL Page or VoIP Problems Page for a further explanation if you're a business owner.

Lots Of Ways To Use
The Internet Without Phone Line.

1. You can use a cable modem. If you have a local cable provider, and have only a couple of users this should work well. Click here for cable modem quotes - put your address in the box

In fact I use internet without a phone line via cable modem, and I also have my home phone thru T-Mobile, and then use their VoIP service over my cable modem. Only $10 a month because I have a cell phone with them, and great service!

2. You can use a CDMA technology cellular phone, if you have a liberal or unlimited data plan and your provider allows this, (and assuming you can get a good cell signal) it's a great option because you're using the cell data service you're already paying for. This is also known as "tethering Internet" to your PC, do a search on this term for more info and applications.

In this case internet without a phone line turns out to be cheaper than having to use a phone line with ADSL or a similar technology. Of course you'll also need a cable to allow you to basically turn the phone into a modem that the plugs into your PC.

Note you can also buy an wireless AIR Card, click here and look for "wireless cards" on the left side These go in your PC and does the same thing as using your phone as a modem. It will use a single provider's 3G or now 4G network, generally fairly stable, but can have some bottle necks, as they give cell voice calls priority over your data needs.

3. Fixed 3G or 4G Cellular Internet access is also available as a business service if your location qualifies for this. As a business class option, pricing is about $150 monthly and generally requires a 24-36 month term contract in order to waive most of the installation fees.

If you really want a good, very reliable business solution to internet without a phone line, then this one probably provides the best options, as there are guarantees on the data download and upload speeds, which resemble basic DSL offerings.

This solution also uses up to three cellular providers, so depending on the ability of a given provider's tower / cell signals, etc. at any time of provisioning, you're going to get much better overall throughput on this type of connection.

This solution is also good for a small remote Home Office / Small Office (SOHO) or new office, like a construction trailer. To see if fixed wireless is available for you, visit The Telecom Broker and use the "Quick Quote" tool you find there, picking High Speed Internet Access, then "fixed wireless" as the service option.

4. There are ADSL options available from EarthLink, and others like AT&T that basically forego the voice service on the phone line, so you don't get any voice service, just the Internet. Here you can then do any flavor of VoIP phone service if you desire instead of buying it from them.

So here they are making you think you're getting Internet without phone line, just because they're not giving you any voice service, but the Internet access is still using an analog line as the physical wire.

Click here for a residential DSL quote to see if you qualify for any of these above.

Note that AT&T and Verizon also have great broadband internet in the form of broadband Ethernet under the trade names of U-Verse and FiOS respectively. Massive bandwidth, you could suck a horse through one of these!

For business class versions of this stuff Click here for a metro Ethernet quote – Mega Bandwidth

5. Lastly, you can use a business class satellite dish access to solve your internet without a phone line problem. Visit Click here for a business broadband satellite needs. Choose internet, then satellite. Major issues here however can be large upfront fees for the equipment, and also limits on the total bandwidth transferred monthly.

Good Website To Check For What's Available

A great place to check for all these Internet without phone line services in one place is at this website, click here pick residential or business, put your address in the box and off you go! They then show you what services are available at your location. You can order right on line.

Note that neither Fixed 3G cellular wireless or Satellite is good for gaming or VoIP, as there is generally too much latency and delay in the data stream. However some providers are successfully using these wireless technologies for VoIP in certain deployments.

The AT&T or Verizon Internet without phone line options, along with Cox cable and other cable providers can support a quality VoIP phone service call, so generally this can be packaged as an option if desired, or you can use your own if need be.
